There are several places to visit in Medfield. The Peak House and Hinkley Pond are two of the attractions. Medfield’s Free Public Library was established in 1873. Main Street is home to the public library. The Medfield Social Library was founded in 1898 by Medfield residents and others.
Medfield Employers & Merchants Organization holds Medfield Day in Medfield Center on the third Saturday in September. This is an annual celebration. The annual Winter Parade is held on Saturdays following the first Friday in December by Medfield Employers & Merchants Organization. It takes place along the streets surrounding Medfield Center.
Medfield Foundation hosts the Angel Run every December on the first Sunday. This annual 5k fundraising race is held to raise funds to help people in need in the community.
Rocky Woods is located in the northeast corner of town on a 491-acre reserve. There are 6.5 miles worth of trails that can be used for biking or hiking, as well as a few ponds to fish. The property also has open space for picnics and barbecues. Cedar Hill is 435 feet.
Noon Hill, a hill located in Medfield, is 370 feet. There is a trail that leads to its summit. The hill has a total of 4.5 miles of trails that lead to its summit. These trails offer stunning views of Walpole, Norfolk, Gillette Stadium, and the surrounding hills.
Peak House. Peak House, which was destroyed in the Native-American attack against the town in King Philip’s War (1676), was rebuilt in 1680. In 1924, the Medfield Historical Society took over the building and restored it to its Colonial appearance. You can visit it every Sunday between 2 and 5 PM, except by appointment. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The steep roof is the highest-pitched Massachusetts 17th-century house.
Pleasant Street, Medfield Historical Society. The Society museum houses historic documents and artifacts. The Peak House is also owned by the Society.
