Boston Airport Express has been notified that all the highways in Massachusetts will be equipped with a wrong-way detection system.
Our company welcomes the decision of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation to install detection devices on state highways. Officials will close lanes in both directions along major highways in Burlington and Danvers, Plymouth, and Webster from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. on Friday.
This installation is part of a pilot program worth $2.6 million that consists of 16 ramp locations in Massachusetts with Wrong-Way Vehicle Detection Systems.
Currently, the project is expected to be completed by spring. AAA Foundation told our company that wrong-way crashes caused 500 deaths annually between 2015 and 2018.
These locations will see temporary traffic restrictions due to the project being run :
More such implications can bring a real change in Massachusetts states for boston car & taxi services which have been witnessing high numbers of road casualties in recent months.
