"We're linking Cape Cod to the rest of the world."
In 2025, American Airlines will launch seasonal nonstop flights from Hyannis to Philadelphia and Chicago.
The Fort Worth, Texas-based airline will start flights from Cape Cod Gateway Airport in Hyannis to Philadelphia International Airport on June 19 and to Chicago O'Hare International Airport on June 21.
The Chicago flights will operate on Saturdays until August 30, while the Philadelphia flights will run daily until September 2.
“American Airlines’ expanded seasonal service to Chicago and Philadelphia from Hyannis marks a major milestone for Cape Cod Gateway Airport and the entire region,” said Katie Servis, the airport’s manager, in a statement. “Residents and visitors of Cape Cod and Southern New England now have greater access to American’s global network, offering connections to over 200 destinations worldwide – all without the inconvenience and cost of traveling to Boston or Providence. We’re connecting Cape Cod to the world.”
Flights from Hyannis to Chicago and Philadelphia can now be booked on aa.com or through the airline’s mobile app.
Earlier this year, American Airlines introduced seasonal daily flights from Hyannis to New York's LaGuardia Airport and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.
