Bus Hits A Pedestrian At Logan Airport, Victim Dies

A tragic incident occurred at Boston Logan International Airport on Monday evening, as an adult male was struck and killed by a coach bus. The victim has been identified as Vishwachand Kolla, 47, of Lexington, who was at the airport to pick up a friend.

The bus involved in the incident belonged to Dartmouth Coach, a transportation company based in Concord, New Hampshire, that provides services between New Hampshire, Boston, and New York City.

According to the Massachusetts State Police, Kolla was parked curbside at the Terminal B lower (arrivals) level when he was hit by the bus. Preliminary investigations suggest that he was standing on the driver’s side of his Acura SUV when the middle of the bus made contact with him, dragging him along the driver’s side of his vehicle.

Kolla suffered severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the bus, a 54-year-old woman, declined medical treatment.

The crash investigation is ongoing and being conducted by Troop F of the Massachusetts State Police, the MSP Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, the MSP Crime Scene Services Section, the MSP Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Section, and the state police detective unit assigned to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office.

In a statement, a spokesperson for Dartmouth Coach expressed their condolences and stated that the company is cooperating with the authorities to gather further information.

NewsCenter 5’s Peter Eliopoulos reported that there were passengers onboard the bus at the time of the crash, and they were moved to a different bus. The incident also temporarily disrupted airport operations, with some arriving passengers redirected to a different baggage claim area.

This tragic incident serves as a reminder of the importance of being vigilant while traveling, whether as a pedestrian or a driver. We urge all travelers to exercise caution and follow safety guidelines to prevent similar accidents from occurring.

Once again, we extend our sincere condolences to Kolla’s family and friends during this difficult time.

Is Peanut Butter Restricted on Flights? Here’s what the TSA says

As a leading airport transportation service, Boston Airport Express wants to make sure that all our customers are aware of the latest travel regulations enforced by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).

Recently, there have been reports about peanut butter being considered a liquid by the TSA, which means that it falls under the same category as other liquids, gels, and aerosols.

One passenger, Patrick Neve, shared his confusion on Twitter after TSA agents flagged him for trying to bring peanut butter through airport security.

In his tweet, Neve asked the agents to clarify which category peanut butter falls under, leading to the TSA confirmed that peanut butter is considered a liquid and reminding travelers that it needs to be 3.4 oz or less in carry-on luggage.

Another traveler shared a similar experience where they were forced to throw out their peanut butter at the TSA checkpoint, despite it being used up to make sandwiches.

This raised concerns about the inconsistency in the TSA’s rules, as the traveler pointed out that it would have been okay to bring the peanut butter if it had already been used up.

To clarify the regulations, the TSA’s website states that peanut butter of any size can be packed in a checked bag, but for a carry-on, it must be 3.4 oz or less.

Other items, such as salsa, sauces, hummus, creamy dips and spreads, and ice cream, are also considered liquids and have the same carry-on limitations as peanut butter.

At Boston Airport Express, we want our customers to have a stress-free and smooth travel experience. We advise all our customers to review the TSA’s rules and regulations before their trip and make sure that all their carry-on items meet the requirements.

When you book a ride with Boston Airport Express, you can trust us to get you to the airport safely and on time. Don’t let travel regulations stress you out. Book a ride for car service in boston with Boston Airport Express today!

Boston’s Traffic Situation Is Worse Than Most of the World’s, and It’s Not Improving at All.

Boston’s traffic situation is worse than most of the world's

Boston traffic is horrendous, as anyone who drives there would attest. Boston Airport Express has had its share of experiences too. The city becomes an unbreachable fortress during the holiday season, preventing any traffic in and out of Boston.

According to recent research, this city has some of the worst traffic in the world.

The transportation data company Inrix puts out an annual Global Traffic Scorecard. It says that Boston’s traffic is the second-worst in the United States and the fourth-worst in the world.

Matt Brooks remarked, “It’s not just Boston; it’s everywhere.” “It makes no difference which road you are on.” No matter what time of day it is, nothing matters. “All I do is wait in traffic.”

Every two to three weeks, wine salesperson Brooks makes the trip into the city.

Brooks stated, “I am in Boston working today, so I parked my car in a garage, and I am walking all over the city.” My umbrella is here. “Driving is pointless because it would take twice as long for me to go somewhere.”

According to the report, Boston drivers will have wasted nearly 134 hours of their lives in traffic in 2022. As more people return to the workplace, this is an increase of 56 hours from 2021, but it is still 10% less than pre-pandemic levels.

According to Inrix, “I-93 South from US-3 to MA-3 was the fourth most congested stretch in the whole United States, resulting in vehicles losing a total of 99 hours during the 4 p.m. rush hour.”

According to Inrix, drivers in the Boston area waste an average of $2,270 in gasoline and time due to traffic. Within a mile of downtown, vehicles may only travel at roughly 11 mph, down from 15 mph in 2019.

A Better City’s CEO, Rick Dimino, said, “In terms of the time lost by people in their cars, we lose millions of dollars every day.” “That significantly hurts our economy. “The report reveals Boston has the worst traffic, trailing only London, Chicago, and Paris.

Delays at Logan Airport Increase During an FAA Outage

About 200 domestic flights from Logan Airport were delayed on Wednesday because the Federal Aviation Administration was down all over the country. Still, the organization reported that operations had resumed just before 9 a.m.

Due to issues with its Notice to Airmen System, the FAA made the public aware of the outage before 7 a.m. on Wednesday. At around 7 a.m., FlightAware’s flight tracking website listed 760 delays inside, into, or out of the United States.

According to MassPort, there were 20 delayed Logan flights as of 8:15 a.m., including ones to Charlotte, North Carolina, Chicago-O’Hare, and Baltimore.

On the MassPort website, you may track the progress of your flights. Before 7 a.m., there were fewer than 10 delays. At nearly nine in the morning, the FAA tweeted that it had removed a ban on ground departures.

The encyclopedia said, “After a problem overnight with the Notice Airmen system, which gives safety information to flight crews, normal air traffic operations are slowly getting back to normal across the United States.”

Soon after the ground halt was dismissed, the flights started taking off, but the delays went on for the whole day. The passengers stuck at the airport also stated that the airport became too overcrowded, which made waiting in lines for security or ATMs very difficult.

Customers of Boston Airport Express should check the airport’s or MassPort’s website before their trip to see how their flights are going. You can always rely on our airport car services in Boston for all your transportation needs.

More stress can result from travelling before and after the holidays than from trying to decide what to make for your in-laws’ Christmas dinner. Fortunately, there is an instruction manual for this particular situation, and it is available in the form of a AAA travel report.

At Boston Airport express, we deal with these peak hours by planning our rides ahead and incentivising off-peak hours travel with discounts. It does not hurt to reach your loved ones 2 hours earlier than to reach them 2 hours late. We have been providing chauffeured rides from Boston for the last 20 years or more.

Between the 23rd of December and the 2nd of January, the agency anticipates that more than 112 million people will travel at least 50 miles away from their homes. Aside from being an increase of 3.6 million from the previous year, it is anticipated that 2022 will be the third busiest year for holiday travel ever since AAA began tracking statistics in the year 2000.

More than 90% of people will travel by car, according to the agency’s forecast. You should therefore think about the best time to travel while you are moving all of those gifts. If you need more space consider booking a minivan rather than a sedan. Minivans will be more spacious and apt for family travel or student groups. Book your minivan rides here.

As much as possible, avoid I-93 South from Albany Street in Boston to the beginning of MA-24 in Randolph, advises AAA for Santas and Mrs Clauses travelling through the Boston metropolitan area. According to AAA, the Wednesday, December 28 peak period for traffic on that section of road is between 3 and 5 p.m.

Additionally, the Friday before Christmas, Tuesday, December 27, and Wednesday, December 28 are the busiest days for holiday travel. As commuters and travellers mix on Monday, Jan. 2, traffic is anticipated to be heavy.

According to AAA, drivers could experience travel times that are up to 25% longer nationwide. Follow this link for any https://bostonairportexpress.com/minivan-taxi-boston-49, child seat facilities and much more.
