1.     The Esplanade

The Hatch Shell hosts the Boston Pops Orchestra for the Boston Fourth of July celebration every year.It is also used for free concerts held on most weekends as well as weeknights during the summer months. There is a huge grass pavilion in front of the stage where families can enjoy a picnic or bring their own seats to have some food.

7.     Shakespeare on the Common

8.     Arnold Arboretum

Though the place does not allow a picnic, you can still spend a good time here and at least have snacks. The park allows picnic only once a year on Lilac Sunday.  Have a walk through the park while admiring the gorgeous natural views.
