Etihad Airways is Increasing its Service Between Boston and Abu Dhabi This Fall

"Our Boston service has been performing exceptionally well, with flights nearly at capacity since our inaugural flight in March," said Etihad Airways. "Due to popular demand, Boston travelers will have greater access to Abu Dhabi this fall."

The national airline of the United Arab Emirates has announced an increase in service to the capital city. Since March, Etihad Airways has been operating direct flights between Boston and Abu Dhabi from Logan Airport four days a week. Starting October 27, the service will increase to daily flights.

“Our Boston service continues to perform strongly, with our flights near capacity since our inaugural flight in Boston this March,” said Arik De, chief revenue and commercial officer at Etihad. “Having already experienced record passenger demand, we’re excited to invest further in the North American market by expanding our flight frequency out of Boston ahead of the peak winter travel season.”

The added flights will provide travelers with more convenience and flexibility just in time for the peak winter travel season, according to the airline.

Passengers will fly on a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, featuring 28 business class seats, 262 economy seats, entertainment systems, in-seat power, and in-flight WiFi.

Boston is the fourth U.S. destination for Etihad Airways, which also serves Chicago, New York, and Washington, D.C. The airline also operates flights to Toronto, Canada.

The news of Etihad Airways increasing its service between Boston and Abu Dhabi this fall is expected to have a positive impact on Boston airport car services and taxi services. With more flights and increased passenger traffic, especially international travelers, the demand for airport transportation is likely to grow. This presents a significant opportunity for local transportation services, including airport shuttles, car rentals, and taxis, to accommodate the increased influx of passengers.

Additionally, travelers coming for longer stays may prefer more comfortable options like limo services, particularly for corporate clients or those seeking a premium experience. Overall, this expansion could fuel the local transportation economy around Boston Logan International Airport.
